A&R Representative (Montreal)

Higher Reign Music Group is looking for a part-time, ambitious and eager A&R Representative for the region of Montreal to fill their A&R team. The selected candidate will participate in finding and developing musical artists to sign as well as producing artists and driving creative content for all forms of media. The position allows for a flexible “make your own schedule” and working from a remote location such as home.

The A&R Representative shall be responsible for :

  • Find and develop talent and repertoire for the label’s new and existing roster
  • Identify and nurture new artists to evaluate possible signing to company roster
  • Conduct permanent research online and offline, travel to creative hubs, engage with managers and producers
  • Be the first point of contact between artists and the company; develop a close relationship with the artist, gain his trust
  • Engage and nurture great relationships within the creative community in the music business
  • Work with and develop existing artists on the Higher Reign Music roster
  • Meet with contacts such as attorneys, artists, producers, publishers, other labels, etc.
  • Work with artists that you bring to the company and other artists signed to the company as directed to make hit records and create great creative content for all forms of media
  • Help build and maintain artist careers
  • Represent Higher Reign Music Group in Montreal and the surrounding areas (but not limited to Montreal)

The candidate will have to demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Great personality and knowledge to gain the trust of artists, managers and the creative community (producers, writers, publishers, etc.)
  • Continuously expanding knowledge of all genres of commercial music, as well as consumption trends. Coupled with a working knowledge of both digital retail platforms, and social media
  • Strong contacts and relationships within the music & entertainment industry
  • Experience in a similar role is an advantage
  • Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative
  • Passion for music and highly motivated
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Entrepreneurship & sales skills
  • Available to work on a flexible “make your own” type of schedule and from a remote location

Social Media Manager (Intern)

Higher Reign Music Group is looking for a part-time, ambitious and eager Social Media Manager to fill in their marketing team. The selected candidate will participate in developing and sharing multimedia content on several social media platforms to help in brand and product recognition and reach. The position allows for a flexible “make your own” schedule and working from a remote location such as home.

The Social Media Manager (Intern) shall be responsible for :

  • Assist our VP of Marketing in developing content marketing and social media strategies to increase the reach of our brands and products
  • Ensure the animation, management and monitoring of different social media communities (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and WordPress)
  • Develop detailed but flexible content schedules for news additions on all platforms
  • Develop, write and upload exclusive and qualitative content and then ensure consistent dissemination
  • Measure and interpret results continuously to recommend optimization actions to the team
  • Be on the lookout for the latest trends in digital content and social media in a constant process of innovation to benefit our customers’ brands

The candidate will have to demonstrate the following requirements:

  • Bilingual, oral and written (French and English)
  • Expertise in social networks and digital content
  • Excellent writing skills in French and English
  • Experience and understanding of attraction marketing (inbound marketing)
  • Creativity, autonomy and skills for structured work
  • Flexibility and availability; interest and openness for continuing training
  • Available to work on a flexible “make your own” type of schedule and from a remote location
